We asked Aromatherapy Associates what products to use to treat skin conditions as well as for gifts:
Question 1: What aromatherapy products can I use to treat my acne? - Jen, New York, NY
For skin that is acne prone, we recommend using the Deep Cleanse Face Wash or the Rose Exfoliating Cleanser—both contain lavender and tea tree oil; both are anti-septic and anti-bacterial, without being harsh. For regular maintenance, use the Purifying Facial Scrub 2-3x per week. This refreshing scrub unblocks pores with natural exfoliators (corn cob granules and jojoba beads), along with soothing & calming orange flower water and petit grain. As a final part of an anti-acne skin care ritual, we recommend the deep cleanse face mask 2x per week. Ylang-Ylang regulates oiliness, and contains tea tree and lavender, as well as ginger to boost skin circulation. Sweep off excess product with the Refining face tonic and follow with refining face oil.
Question 2: Are there any products that can clear up my rosacea without a prescription? - Ariel, Los Angeles, CA
We recommend using the most gentle cleanser—Renewing Rose Cleanser.
We also suggest using the Nourishing Face Oil, which contains rose, sandalwood, evening primrose, and jojoba oils to sooth and protect skin, to be followed by the Triple Rose Renewing Moisturizer—which contains anti-inflammatory red algae and healing rose and sandalwood essential oils. For medical skin care concerns, always consult a dermatologist before trying a new product or skin care regime
Question 3: Are there any Father’s Day products that I can get my father? - Samantha, Portland, OR
Father’s day is a great way to introduce products to your dad. We recommend the Deep Cleanse Face Wash & Refining Face Tonic as a thoughtful gift set. Both products are perfect for men who shave regularly, and contain tea tree, marine extracts and soothing Aloe Vera.
For a relaxing gift: Our De stress line includes a De-Stress body wash for use in the shower. For sore muscles or tension headaches, this gel instantly cools and eases aches & pains and contains lavender, a known anti-inflammatory.
Question 4: Do you have any recommendations for bath products to help me relax? - Jodi, Miami, FL
Relaxing bath oils are one of the most well-known parts of the Aromatherapy Associates line. Using true aromatherapy oils truly relax the mind as well as the body and we offer a full selection of bath/shower oils and companion body moisturizers for every need—whether it is for relaxation, to re-energize, or de stress, we recommend you try the Essentials Collection, which contains Deep Relax, De Stress and Revive bath & oils.www.aromatherapyassociates.com
